About Anime Expo

Anime Expo is North America's largest Japanese pop-culture convention — four days at the Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S Figueroa Street. AX 2027 is July 2–5 (Friday–Monday), published on anime-expo.org. That weekend is also Independence Day. The hotel problem is the same as Comic-Con: you need a walk back to the room to change, drop bags, and re-enter. L.A. Live (JW Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, Courtyard, Residence Inn) and Hotel Figueroa are the walks. InterContinental, the Westin Bonaventure, and Omni California Plaza are official-block shuttle hotels. SoFi / LAX is a different Los Angeles chapter — do not stay there for AX.
