Tuesday–Wednesday, May 4–5: Indy 500 Open Test at IMS (NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule).
Saturday, May 8: IU Health 500 Festival Mini-Marathon and Delta Dental 500 Festival 5K downtown (500festival.com).
Friday, May 14: Sonsio Grand Prix practice and qualifying on the IMS road course, plus a full-field autograph session.
Saturday, May 15: Sonsio Grand Prix Race Day and INDY NXT by Firestone. Live on FOX.
Weekdays May 18–21 and Monday, May 24: Indy 500 oval practice. Bronze or Silver badges cover these days — not Grand Prix or Race Day.
Saturday–Sunday, May 22–23: PPG Presents Armed Forces Qualifying Weekend. Pole, the field, and who makes the 500.
Friday, May 28: Miller Lite Carb Day — final practice, Pit Stop Competition, concert.
Saturday, May 29: Legends Day at IMS (full-field autographs, Public Drivers’ Meeting, veterans session) and the Lucas Oil 500 Festival Parade downtown — festivities 11:45 a.m., parade at noon.
Sunday, May 30: 111th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge. Coors Light Snake Pit in Turn 3. 2027 Snake Pit lineup not posted at check.
Pick a commute, then a Saturday
Hampton Inn West Speedway is about 2.5 miles from IMS. Courtyard West-Speedway sits on Crawfordsville Road. Holiday Inn Express West is overflow. None of those walk to the bricks. They beat downtown on Race morning.
JW Marriott, Conrad, Hyatt Regency, Alexander, and Omni Severin walk to the Saturday parade. They do not walk to Turn 1. Book downtown if May 29 is the parade and May 30 is one transfer.
