When to Book Hotels for AWS re:Invent 2026

How we source scores and prices: TripSignal methodology

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas on the Strip conference corridor

For AWS re:Invent 2026, the safest hotel booking window is 4–7 months ahead — roughly May through August for the November 30–December 4 conference. That timing lines up with registration, early bird pricing, team approvals, and sponsor planning. Unlike a leisure Vegas weekend, re:Invent demand is driven by enterprise teams, partners, trainings, and meetings across the Strip. By fall, the question can shift from "which Strip hotel is best?" to "which acceptable hotel still fits policy after fees?"

Conference dates and sources checked

AWS re:Invent 2026 runs Monday November 30 through Friday December 4 in Las Vegas — listed on aws.amazon.com/events/reinvent (verified July 10, 2026). AWS lists registration as live, early bird pricing through August 25, 2026, full price at $2,499, and 2,200+ sessions. TripSignal signal prices are off-peak hotel records, not live re:Invent-week quotes.

Quick answer: book AWS re:Invent hotels 4–7 months ahead

If your team is likely to attend, start with a refundable booking between May and August. The earlier side of that window protects North Strip and conference-corridor choices; the later side works if approvals depend on registration, session planning, or team headcount.

Best booking window

May through August

Best balance of inventory and approval timing before enterprise travel plans absorb larger room blocks.

Book earliest if

You need North Strip or team rooms

Venetian, Wynn/Encore, Resorts World, and Fontainebleau are easier before sponsors and teams lock blocks.

High-risk window

September through November

Useful for cancellations and flexible travel, but Strip totals can already be outside policy.

Best date pattern

November 29–December 5

Arrive Sunday if Monday workshops, meetings, or keynotes matter; otherwise Nov. 30–Dec. 5 covers the core week.

What dates should you book?

Minimum stay: Monday November 30 through Saturday December 5 checkout covers the official re:Invent week. Better stay: Sunday November 29 through Saturday December 5 if you have Monday workshops, team meetings, partner dinners, or want to avoid travel disruption on the first conference morning.

Some teams can leave Friday December 4 after sessions end, but Saturday checkout is safer if you expect Friday evening events or late meetings. Compare the extra night against flight timing, rideshare surges, and the cost of missing Friday programming.

If you are staffing a booth, sponsoring events, or meeting customers, arrive Sunday. The extra night can be cheaper than compressing setup, travel, and first-day meetings into Monday morning.

When waiting can still make sense

  • Your company travel policy requires preferred rates or negotiated blocks that are not released yet.
  • Your team size is unknown and you need to avoid holding too many rooms.
  • You are willing to stay Downtown, at SAHARA, or in another fallback zone if North Strip rates climb.
  • You are attending only one or two days and can optimize around meeting locations instead of the full conference week.
